Elizabeth II : the queen of England

Elizabeth II (Born on April 21st, 1926 in London) is Queen of sixteen independent States and leader of the Commonwealth, since February 6th, 1952. Elder girl of king Georges VI and his wife Elizabeth, her marries in November, 1947 Philippe Mountbatten, whose four children and eight grandchildren she will have...

 

She reaches the throne in the death of her father, to be crowned on June 2nd, 1953. In 2002, Queen Elizabeth marks her golden jubilee celebrating her fifty years of reign. Very discreet as for her political convictions, she always refused to give interviews in the press. Famous for her collection of hats, she claims her public role by attending numerous cultural events.


The United Kingdom oute, she is also the queen of several States such as Canada, Australia, piece of news Zealand, … Sixteen countries of which she is the queen are indicated(appointed) under the name of kingdoms of the Commonwealth, and their total population is 131 million nationals.

Elizabeth II is also a leader of the Commonwealth of nations, leader (Lord High Admiral) of the British Admiralty, the supreme governor of the Church of England, Lord of Man, Duke duke of Normandy (reigning over the Channel Islands) and the supreme leader of Fiji. As head of state, her is also the Commander-in-chief of the armies in each of her kingdoms. In 2007, she is classified as the most powerful 23rd woman of the world by the magazine Forbes.
