Georges bush tries to escape from a shoe. It's a man ( journalist ) who says to George bush : " you are a dog ..."
I have chosen to describe George Bush. His name is Bush and his first name is George (Walker). He was born on the 6th of July, 1946 (today, he is 63 years old). He was born in New Haven and he is American. He was the president of the United-states from Dallas, Texas.
Personal details :
He studied at Harvard Business School and in Yale University. His father (George H. W. Bush) was also president of the United States between 1989 and 1993. He has twin daughters who’s name's are Barbara and Jenna. He is Methodist.
Famous for …/ Career details :
I think his first speech was in 1990. I have chosen George Bush's last speech of the 16th January 2009 : I describe it. He pronounced on a Thursday evening his farewell speech five day before his departure from the White house.
The president defended the balance sheet of his presidential mandates and affirmed his doctrine of the good and the evil. What George Bush is most proud of, it’s to be known to protect the United States against a new 11th September.
To say Goodbye to the Americans, G. B. didn’t pronounce his speech in the oval office but in the oriental lounge in front of about 200 guests of whom were soldier’s family. His wife and his twin daughters were also present with the vice president Dick Cheney.
Specific details:
It’s a speech of George bush which I want to describe. It’s was on the 17th of March in 2003. It talks about War in Iraq.
“Fellow citizens, we have reached the final days of decision concerning the events in Iraq. For over ten years, the United States and other countries have made patient and honorable efforts to disarm the Iraqi regime to avoid war.
The scheme was undertaken as a condition for ending the Persian Gulf War in 1991, to declare and destroy all its weapons of mass destruction. The Iraqi regime has used diplomacy as a ploy to gain time and advantage. It has uniformly defied Security Council resolutions of the Security Council demanding full disarmament.
The danger is clear: using chemical, biological or, one day, nuclear weapons obtained with Iraq, the terrorists could fulfill their stated ambitions and kill hundreds of thousands Of innocent people in our country, or what else is important. Last September, I went to the General Assembly and the UN has urged the nations of the world to unite to put an end to this danger.
On November 8th, the Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 1441, declaring that Iraq was in material breach of its obligations and warning that he risked serious consequences if he does not disarm completely and immediately. Today, no country can claim that Iraq has disarmed, and it will not disarm as long as Saddam Hussein remains in power. The United States and other countries will work to promote freedom and peace in this region. We will not reach our goal overnight, it will take time. The power and attraction of freedom are felt at all levels and in all countries. And the greatest asset of freedom is to overcome hatred and violence and place the creative abilities of man and woman in the service of peace. This is the future we choose. Free nations have a duty to defend their people by uniting against the violence. And tonight, as they have done before, America and our allies accept that responsibility”
Picture n°1:
This picture was taken from www.wikipedia.com. I’m going to introduce the picture of the former president of the United
States to you.
In the background of this picture I can see the flag of the United States.
It’s the president who wears this flag on this coat. He has a white shirt and a blue tie. I can see : he’s happy and he has a big nose and big eyebrows.
His hair is grey because he is a old man. In the background I see the big flag of the United States. I have chosen this first picture because this was when G. B. was happy and I wanted to show him smiling.

In this picture we can’t really see George bush because he tries to escape from a shoe which was thrown at him by a journalist « It’s a kiss goodbye, you are a dog ».
Just beside him, we see the Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki without any reaction, we could say that : he isn’t interested. Behind, there are the flags of the two countries. Above Bush 's head the famous shoe didn't touch the president. Finally, in the foreground we can the journalist who was very angry!!
I have chosen this picture because I want to show what some people thinks about George Bush , the former President of the United States.
Conclusion :
I have chosen to describe George Bush because it is a politician person but also because another pupil have chosen to describe Barack Obama: it can allow me to make the difference.
We can see who(which) is the best...
