Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams
Song

" Sweet dreams " is a song by the English group "Eurythmics" . There are 2 persons in the group .This song was realeased on the album Sweet Dreams ( Are made of this ) . The song is the description of a dream , a kin of escape from reality.

Group

Eurythmics was a band gathering Annie Lenox ( singer , composer ) Dave stewart (guitar, bass, keyboards, composition) .
The 2 musicians were already in love at that time , and they decided to work together on this album ! This song was a hit . If we had to give clues about this type of music, we could say that it was between New Wave and Reggae music ! Actually , Mtv once asked Annie's label a birth certificate to make sure that she was the real singer because she was disguised, in the clip  "Sweet Dreams" . One cannot talk about this group with out mentionning their dress code ( and hair style ) which were quite flashy at the time but are dated now we must confess !Have a look at this picture to get a glimpse of the time ...

You can see Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart !

Oh my god , i can't found word which can define this dress !

Times

As you may remember the song itself dealt with Dreams , imagine what he want , escaping from hard times ... because it was a period of unemployment in the UK. Indeed, the "Iron Lady''(Margaret Thatcher) was causing a lot of strikes, and again ...This period was a very difficult time, don't forget that several very famous singer like John Lennon or Bob Marley were murdered , this was another shock for the public , but they fast recovered thanks to music !

DID YOU KNOW THAT ??

Dave Stewart Annie Lennox met in a restaurant in Hampstead (a suburb of London ): "The Pippins"where she is a waitress. They then began a relationship and an artistic collaboration .

And don't forget : UK rocks that's for sure !
